The Eye of Terror: OOC Thread XI
« on: February 10, 2017, 12:26:22 PM »
New OOC thread, as the other one was over 200 posts long.

My post is up. I re-wrote it to make sure everyone was included. Please let me know if I missed anything.

Only Soul Reaver got Cameron's first message, and only Mary got Cameron's second. Only Cameron got Mary's reply.

I'll edit my post in about an hour. Back to work.

[edit] Post explanation: Danyael's echo, at the sacrifice of itself, pushed Kitharsis out of the way of the falling chandelier/explosion. Whether or not the essence of the Echo, even though it is a part of Danyael, drifts into the Pillar, is up to the Battle Master. But if Kitharsis would prefer I edit that action out, I'll readily do so. As Danyael is somewhat attuned to warp energy, I also wrote that he could perceive what is happening in his own way. It might not be as accurately as Mary, but I tried to be as clear as I could without writing too much. The echoes, now aware of Danyael's own awareness, have now opted for bare knuckles brawling with the Rubric Marines in order to engage without killing, as he currently has no idea what else he can do at this point other than stall on behalf of anyone else having a better plan.

Soul Reaver is now near the pillar, protected with some warding spells.  Not sure how close he is to Mary now, since Danyael whisked her to safety.

He's absorbing a ton of those incoming souls to try and limit the pillar's feeding.

More importantly, he's cast an Identify spell on the pillar - it'll allow Soul Reaver to percieve the physical and magical structure of the pillar by looking at it.  On simple magic items that would be enough to identify what they do, but on something like this pillar it might not be enough information - keep in mind though that Soul Reaver has a good understanding of sorcery, magical constructs and souls (not so much on chaos warp energy), so he'd likely understand much about how they work in this device.  Battle Master gets to decide just how much he finds out, and how useful that might be.

This might be an inappropriate place to say this: but, by my observations, relationship between Kitharsis and the skeleton Mage is reminiscent of the relationship between Rocket Raccoon and mini Groot. It's perfect for any mood.

Sometimes those little skeletons take the reins and I can't but follow.

So basically Kitharsis is in his own little pinball machine-like hell, careening around the spire out of control save for the whims of the little mage.

Do be careful.

Edit:  Haha it would seem so!

Enough people have posted at this point to justify me working on my next post. I'll start tomorrow. Anyone who hasn't posted by the time I finish my post will be god-modded.

Hanako has informed me that I need to set an actual deadline. I am busy tonight and tomorrow and will probably not have a lot of time on Thursday, but I have a half day at work on Friday. So there's my deadline, Hanako.

Per the Idle/Inactive Battle Rules, this Battle has fallen idle and is now subject to STEP 1 of the Idle Battle Process! The Battle Master has been contacted. Further action will be taken if 7 more days pass without an update. In the meantime, anyone who has not replied to the Battle Master's last post in encouraged to do so now so that we can move on as quickly as possible when the Battle Master returns!

If you don't meet this deadline, we will move directly to Step 3. -_-

It's finished.

Soul Reaver, in case I wasn't clear, you can cut off the animated constructs by sealing the column. It won't stop the energy from continuing up the Spire, but it will allow you to clear the room.

The only character I directly attacked (and did not immediately defend) is Gulgrim. Everyone else is free to continue attacking what they want. Mary and Cameron are busy defending Soul Reaver but will more than likely be overwhelmed if they are not assisted.

As of now, the Eye of Terror Board Battle has been placed under Idle Probation. Any instances of this Board Battle falling idle for over a week will be treated as a Step 2 offense per the Idle/Inactive Battle Process, which is documented in full here: http://administorum.com/index.php?topic=501.0. This battle will remain on probation until the Battle Master has made 5 consecutive updates without an idle infraction.

Have a great day! ^_~*

Certainly not with Kitharsis's permission.  But he didn't really have any say in the matter :P  Poor guy.

(Yes, permission was granted to use Kitharsis as a soccer ball, haha.)
