Ok, I've posted.

Soul Reaver is gazing upon the Book of Magnus.

He's fortified his mind with protective spells to allow focus and make him resistant to mind control/insanity.  He's also cast a Truesight spell that should, with careful observation, allow him to understand the truths of what he is looking at.

He'll be focused on two things: trying to find out what the book is doing (ie, why the pages are flipping) and what is written on the pages themselves.

If he finds that touching the book isn't likely to set off the glyph or cause something else horrible to happen, he'll proceed to search it to find out more about how the glyph works (and hopefully how to disarm it).

You can absolutely get the next post done without Gulgrim. Don't wait on me, this week is especially busy, and since it's a brief down-period between the action, Gulgrim would be idling in high gear anyway, so it makes sense he doesn't do much but vibrate uncontrollably and spark with lightning until the next threat appears.

My apologies. I worked a ton of overtime this week and never had a chance to get anything up. I should have let you all know but it completely slipped my mind.

But fret not, because today I am off, and that means that today is the "today" foretold by last week's prophecy.

UPDATE 2:37 AM: I have most of my post written but there's some things I want to double-check which require me to re-read part of a previous thread. I'll do that later this morning after I get some sleep and finish my post then.

This post is not nearly as long as I wanted it to be, but here it is.

Soul Reaver and Sepher should probably focus on not getting hit by those massive beams. They are extremely fast and extremely powerful. Everyone else gets a little break with only a shockwave to deal with as they ponder their next move.

Soul Reaver is formulating a plan and would share it with the companions, but he's a bit busy right now.  Hopefully the companions will subsequently be able to take some of the heat off him.

To make sure they have the capacity to do so, he's has relocated so he's in front of Sepher, so that both magical bolts are heading for him.  While he's capable of solving complex problems in subtle ways, he's going to try to resolve this one by hitting it with his sword.

Blooddrinker's been sheathed in antimagic, so the incoming spells will be weakened before they even hit Blooddrinker's blade.  And the blade will cut through incoming spells, draining and unravelling them.

That said, if they're powerful enough that may well lead to an explosion, not just a fizz, going off at the impact point.

Ahriman pretty much has a whirling dervish of Light and steel flying at him.  At least at the moment he will unleash whatever melee and Light attacks he can against the sorverer, his sole intent is turning Ahriman into another pile of bloody visceral on the floor once again, and likely (though probably unintended) providing Soul Reaver with a rather handy distraction.

So, just wondering. Are we expected to engage Ahriman in the current post that was aimed at Sepher and Soul Reaver or do we wait instead for a follow up post?

Everyone else gets a little break with only a shockwave to deal with as they ponder their next move.

You might want to at least attempt to avoid that. You can also definitely still attack Ahriman. He's definitely still attacking you.

Hello, everyone. Looks like we're still waiting on Danyael, Daccio, and Kitharsis. I'll begin working on a post tomorrow, and I'll be god-modding anyone who hasn't posted it by the time I finish it.

It seems like everyone is waiting for Kitharsis! I just sent him a PM as well! Mine is to inform him that he is eligible to be god-modded! <_<

Danyael, you are also idle, but since you're actively posting OOCs, I have not sent you any alerts!

Take it away, Cameron! ^_^

Perhaps it would be better to be a lil more specific then in your ooc posts so we know.  If you dont hear back from him soon you might want to do something else as he has hit stage 2.

I'll give the two of you until Saturday. After that, I'm moving this forward.

I will more than likely be posting before that. If I do, I'll hold off on god-modding you so that you can still reply in your own words.

Well, never mind. I had 3 quarters of a post written and then I stepped away for a moment and my computer locked up, and now the document is corrupted. It took me close to an hour to write and I do not have another hour today to sacrifice to this. Danyael and Kitharsis get one more day to respond. I'll try this again tomorrow when I have more time and am less enraged.
