Background


   Siron is the third son of Lord Tilbault from the noble house of Entrima. Siron’s mother died giving birth to him, witch wounded his father deeply, but in turn made the father’s affection towards his last son grow. The two other sons were already grown up and living on their own. Catujel, the second son, was a successful trader. Gustav the eldest of the brothers was the captain of the local guards, a position he got to with a little bit of assistance from his father. Gustav would often envy the attachment his father showed towards his youngest brother, but would never voice a complaint.

   Once, an unusual knight visited the Entrima estate. Though Siron never got to see the knight himself, everyone was talking about him. That seemed rather odd, since there had been visits by knights to the estate many times before, but even his father was worried what to wear or what should be served as food. The attention this knight was receiving was more than that of a royalty. The boy couldn’t help but think that the knight was special in some way.

The day after the arrival of the guest there was an attack on the estate. From simply hearing the noise Siron was frightened to death. As he tries to run away from his room, he bypasses windows in the corridor and through them the boy sees flames and smoke going up to the sky. Even more terrified than before and shivering even harder, he keeps on running trying to leave the estate. As he tries to get away from the mansion, Siron makes his way to the entrance only to find it engulfed in flames. But there, on the other side of the flames, there seems to be a knight fighting off all the attackers and protecting the estate. It was then that Siron realized he was no longer afraid or shivering. He was simply speechless seeing the knight fight. His show was soon interrupted as his father swooped down the nearby stairs to grab him and take him to safety. From then on Siron knew what he wanted to be. In his eyes no one stood above the knight that had the power to protect all.

When he reached his early teens the boy was given leave by his father to follow his dream and he joined the elite military academy Strenua, where he would train to become a knight. There Siron trained relentlessly and quickly out did most of his colleagues. His athletic skills were astounding and no one had the same tenacity and dedication to training that he did. One peculiar thing about him was that he refused to wear any other armor than plate armor, insisting that real knights always wear plate armor. He had some troubles with the more academic instructors, since he neglected most of the studies that didn’t had to do with him becoming a knight. His weapons of choice are one handed maces and two handed swords. In particular he enjoyed using the flanged mace, because even the thickest armor would be dented by a powerful blow and the shock from the impact is large enough to cause damage without penetrating the armor. He is proficient in using a shield which he combos with the mace. Finding the relaxing atmosphere of the tavern to his liking the hours he didn’t spend training or in class he spends there. With music, drinks and every one boasting how much they progressed on their training the nights seemed to pass in an instant.

Attributes and Abilities


Strength: Athletics – Thanks to his long years of training, since his early years, Siron has gained great strength and speed, which has proven to be a deadly combination together with his plate armor and weapons.

Constitution: Endurance – Spending long nights training or in some cases drinking, Siron has never been one to tire quickly or quit half ways. His exceptional endurance is a family trait.

Charisma: Persuasion/Intimidation – Being a part of a noble family Siron was diligently instructed in the proper etiquette and manners you need when dealing with other nobles. In the academy Siron learned how to instill fear in his enemies and use it to his advantage. And through the long nights in the tavern his dancing and singing skills (the later only after a considerable amount of alcohol) have swayed a number of young ladies.

Weapon Proficiencies

Siron’s preferred weapon of choice is a mace and a heater or kite shield. He carries the shield on his back and his mace is strapped to his left hip (he is right handed).

His secondary weapon is a two handed double edged blade. Mainly intended for use against enemies far larger than Siron himself where a mace won’t be suitable. The sword is usually sheeted on his back partially covered by his shield.

Death

A few days before his graduation ceremony he received word that his father wanted to see him urgently. Surprised and worried because of the message Siron made haste to his father’s estate. When he arrived he found Gustav and a few of his men waiting in front of his father’s chambers.

“What happened Gustav? Is father alright? Can I go in?” spoke Siron with a trembling voice full of concern.

“Father said he wanted to see you for a last time before he dies” replied Gustav.

   Siron stormed into the room with a panicked expression. In an instant that expression changed into a shock as he saw his father lying in his bed in a pool of his own blood.

“Guess you didn’t make it in time” said Gustav with a smirk as he landed a powerful blow on the back of Siron’s head rendering him unconscious.

Siron wakes up to find his hands tide “HE IS AWAKE!” He hears a shout from nearby.

“Took you enough time to wake up brother” said Gustav while admiring a knife and walking towards Siron, who just realized that he was laid down on the middle of a rope bridge above a river.

“Why are you doing this” cried out Siron.

“Why am I doing this? That’s what you want to ask in this situation? Fool you know nothing of this world. Your only concern is how to become a knight in a shining armor and save people right? Ha! ‘Spare me sir knight I didn’t know what I was doing oh please show mercy’ Ha-ha-ha! What you should be concerned about is why your hands are tied, why are you in the middle of this roped bridge and above all why am I holding this knife.” As he was saying that Gustav walked slowly towards Siron who was defenseless.

“Catujel will find out what you have done!” said Siron while getting up on his knees and trying to balance himself.

“Oh he already knows and in fact is wandering what is taking me so long! You see he already did his part now I am wrapping up mine and I just wanted to see your dying face!” As he finishes his sentence, he slits Siron’s throat and watches him bleed to death with a satisfied expression. After making sure he is dead he tosses the body into the river.

Siron awakes once more as his body is drifting in the river. He struggles to get to one of the banks and as he rests his head and catches his breath he is trying to understand what just happened.


Death wound

The scar on Siron’s throat kind of gives it away and if it was slit a second time there won’t be a third.

Dexterity: Dodge – The time Siron has spent in Avalon, lying on his ass or fighting ageless, has made him quick on his feet and with much better reactions, making him able to doge blows far more easily.
