Hello everyone. Getting ready to ramp things back up in a week or two here. I need a head count of everyone who still wants to participate, so post here if you're planning on continuing with us.

Hm, as I currently already have a morally-controversial-misunderstood-grinning-broken-minded character in another game, I might have to write an entirely new character if I have one join up. Or... oooooohhh... I could have it so he technically died going through the warp, but as a last ditch effort, put all of his life force into a puppet of his. It could allow me to essentially reset him, and make him a powerful character with an entirely different personality or lack thereof. A fresh mind in a powerful package, knowing nothing of its origins. Maybe I could even make him able to project his voice through people's minds since he wouldn't technically have a mouth.
Okay, character's fun again. I'm in.

This is the final call for any and all participants in the tail end of the Eye of Terror campaign. Anyone who has not replied to this thread or otherwise gotten in touch with me to declare their intentions by tomorrow night at midnight EST will be removed from play and will not be able to rejoin until the next Battle Master takes over. If you've already replied to this thread or notified me, then I'll see you Saturday night/Sunday morning.

With school starting and trying to keep Legion going, I am not sure if I would be able to commit to Epic, too. Feel free to have Faidth sit the rest of this one out. Her intermittent and uncontrollable teleporting should be a decent deus ex machina to spirit her away somewhere.

Posts are up. The Eye of Terror campaign has officially restarted.
You are all split into groups. Kitharsis is in team newbie with Jorumn and Gulgrim, plus Cameron, Kari, and Karyl. Danyael, Jharm, and Sepher are in 08 MS Team Team Edward Aqua Team Hunger Force the second team with Kalana, Mary, and Garr. You are not currently located anywhere near each other. Soul Reaver is still outside of the labyrinth and is by himself. All other battlers have been ejected from the Eye of Terror and will be unable to return.
There's going to be some initial dialog posts to get everyone back up to speed or introduced before we get the ball rolling on the plot. I will respond to dialog posts as often as I can. I hope to have our next plot moving posts up by the end of this week. Soul Reaver, your scene is independent and we will progress through it as often as you can find time to reply.
Everyone, please make sure you are checking the OOC thread every time you post. I don't want you to miss any special instructions I may have for you here.

You guys... this is fucking epic. I was expecting to have to wait forever for responses, and here we have just about everyone in under 24 hours. Only waiting on one person now.
Everyone has posted in group 2 (Danyael, Sepher, Jharm) so they will get a plot moving post tomorrow. Group 1 is still waiting on Kitharsis. As soon as he posts, I'll move that group along as well. Soul Reaver continues to be independent and I will do my best to have new posts up for him as he replies.
Glad to see everyone back on their feet. Going to keep this rolling along as quickly as I can.

After re-reading Sepher's post, I have edited my post to keep continuity. I didn't read he had already gotten up and I'm sorry for that. I also added a bit more to my post, referencing Danyael's exile in the warp in this universe. But if it's at all inappropriate or seems to intrude on storytelling elements, please let me know and I will retract it immediately.

Just a reminder since this was probably so very long ago that nobody remembers it: during the very earliest stages of the Epic Board Battle, when the character Asaki Masako was defeated by Soul Reaver in combat and asked to join him - that is, when she first became Soul Reaver's ward - he gave her such a silver coin too. It attached to her forehead and seemed to allow Soul Reaver to sense her even if they got separated. It was eventually removed when she started following her own destiny and didn't need Soul Reaver's guidance so much anymore.

@Danyael: Your edit was fine. More character interaction is always a good thing. And don't worry. Mary has not forgotten about you.
@Everyone: My post did not cover as much as I wanted it to. I got home much later than I intended and I am not feeling great. There was some more dialog I wanted to hammer out with some characters, so I'm moving that along. I should be able to continue to get dialog replies up throughout the day tomorrow and I can get a plot moving post up once I get off work provided that the characters are ready to move on.

I wanted to get a reply out as quickly as I could, even though it's pretty late. So I might have to make some changes. That being said, a conversation between Danyael and Mary might be a bit complicated, but much desired, considering his changed state of being. He's not the traditional conversationalist anymore, so I'm trying to come up with different ways he can communicate with the companions and elementals. Just because he doesn't talk much, doesn't mean he doesn't have a lot to say.

Just a friendly reminder that while the other elementals all reacted to the activity through Future!Mary's sword, only Future!Mary, Present!Mary, and Danyael could see any of what Future!Mary sent out. Danyael, you would not have been able to hear anything that Present!Mary on the Starblade said or thought. Anyone in the church can react to what Garr and Future!Mary said out loud, and anyone on the battery platform can react to Karyl and Cameron's conversation.
Time travel is confusing! So let me know if there's any questions.

Danyael wouldn't know that there are two Mary's. It'd probably blow his mind, though. Just saying. Or maybe he could figure it out? If anything, it'd make for an interesting conversation, but I'd rather not go that far without permission.

Actually, given the visions Danyael was just shown, it's not only reasonable to assume that there are two Mary's, but also wouldn't be entirely inaccurate to come to the conclusion that there are THREE Mary's.
That being said, feel free to have him pursue that line of questioning in conversation if you don't want him to jump to the conclusion on his own.

By the way, I just wanted to be sure: When Mary is asking 'What happened to his eyes?" was she talking about Cameron's injuries in the vision or was she referring to Danyael's 'blindness'? Didn't want to get anything wrong when I post.

Labyrinth groups, the elevator/door gathering is your last chance to take care of any additional dialog you may want to have with the NPCs. Once everyone indicates that they're ready, we'll move to the next area.

The elevator is as big as the plot dictates it is (I'll retcon if I have to.) 6 meters is about 20 feet.

To clarify, what he just did was a combination of necromancy and puppeteering. The body itself cannot act on its own, and can only act in capacities as though it were an extension of Jorumn's new body's mind.

I have a couple of things on my agenda for today. Going to get posts up to move the two labyrinth groups along at some point today, as soon as I have a chance. I also plan on posting an NPC refresher, since we have a lot of new people and it's been a few years since I've described what the elementals, Kalana, or even Cameron look like. I haven't decided if I'm going to just post that here or make a thread for it in Battle Related, so keep your eyes out for that.

Just a heads up. I will not be posting at all tomorrow. I have a funeral to go to and I also need to spend some time working on my D&D game for this Sunday. I still plan on getting some posts up today (would have done it already but work has been too busy for me to type)

This is a god-moddable fight, meaning that you do not need to wait for me to say whether or not your attacks are successful. For both groups, these enemies are much stronger than the last wave. I'm still going to let you god mod them, but please keep the increased difficulty in mind when writing your post and try to have your character either take some minor damage or come up with some very creative ways to avoid it. Your last posts were all very impressive. Keep it up!
FYI, I will be out of town tomorrow night and all of Sunday. I will still be able to check the boards but my ability to post may be limited. Soul Reaver, I haven't forgotten about you. Soul Reaver, you should be able to tell pretty quickly (once the initial shock wears off) that the figure on the cross is not Asaki. However, you will not be able to readily identify the figure as of yet. You may catch a whiff of Abbadon's spiritual signature, but at the moment it would be heavily cloaked under another signature that seems vaguely familiar but unrecognizable. For the moment, you can still sense Natalya outside of the warehouse.
Team Kalana: Welcome to Hogwarts! I'll give Jharm, Sepher, and Danyael 24 hours to post (or not post) a reaction to this change of scenery, and then I will post again to keep things moving.
Team Cameron: Still waiting on Kitharsis! As soon as he posts, I will move that team away from the Land of Stupid into a much more plot-appropriate area. (Or maybe not! Chaos!)

Not gonna lie. This is going to be a tough fight. Please write accordingly. No one should be coming out of this unscathed. Be as creative as you want with the wizard's choice of spells. This will be the second to last god-moddable fight for the foreseeable future, so enjoy it.
Team Cameron: No enemies yet. Feel free to react to anything anyone else has said before moving to the door. Fei, Cameron and Kitharsis both addressed you directly, so make sure to reply to them. As for the large elevator and the barrels and the turkey, bonus points to anyone who gets the reference. Those of you who do should probably have an idea of what's coming next. No spoilers in the OOC, please. I'll reveal the source of my inspiration once the battle starts.
Soul Reaver: My post should be pretty self explanatory. Abbadon has not revealed himself yet so you should only be able to detect Peterson. Peterson is not attacking yet. Whether you choose to talk or attack immediately is up to you.

When you put your hand on sepher's shoulder, you would have felt the swirling madness of dozens of daemon souls, cackling, including that of a daemonic god. As you put your hand on his shoulder though, a few moments later the souls would have retreated from your touch, going quiet.

My tire was flat when I woke up. Threw out my back trying to get the wheel off because I'm an idiot. I have to take it to get repaired after work today,

Soul Reaver, my post is pretty self-explanatory, although I suppose for the sake of tradition I should probably do this:

Enemy: Peterson (Epic level encounter, hookswords, chains, Chaos powers, etc.), Fake Natalya (Claws, Teeth), Soul of Abbadon the Despoiler ( ??? )
Number: 2?
God-moddable: No (Except for Fake Natalya, see below.)
We've already discussed Fake Natalya's fate via PM, so go ahead and take care of that in your post. God modding's okay there. If you do attack Peterson again, it's business as usual. Post your attack and I'll reply with what happens. Soul Reaver knows Abbadon is present at this point but does not know his location.
Team Kalana: BATTLE!
Enemy: Even more daemon possessed child wizards (Flying brooms, wands, spells), Dementors (immune to physical damage, soul drain)
Number: Holy crap, how many children do these wizards have, anyway? (Lots)
God-moddable: Yes, but restrictions apply for the Dementors, see below.
All enemies are god-moddable, but keep in mind that the Dementors cannot be harmed physically. Please come up with other ways to deal with them. Garr has vanished, but Mary is falling off the bridge and Kalana could use someone to defend her from wizards while she breaks through to the old man. How they both fare will determine how difficult the next combat wave will be.

Watch that Youtube video for an example of enemies that you will be facing. Any of those enemies are fair game to include in your post, so have fun! The remaining turkey is good for a complete heal and a massive power boost. First come, first serve, so please make sure no one else has already eaten it in their post before you post that you eat it. Gulgrim, you have already eaten a turkey, so your powers are boosted for this next post. (And yes, that music is actually playing. All of the companions in Team Cameron can hear it.)

And Swarms of Orks. Though I'm thinking Gulgrim should be fighting like a Beat-em-up character, and swinging and beating things down and just having boyz charge across the screen or appear from behind him for special attacks.

Sepher's Transformation: Radenoliel, the Corrupter of Time. Greater Deamon

Something in the neighborhood of 25 feet tall.
Looking into its eyes gives a feeling of dreading ones own impending end to their mortality.
Has limited time flow type abilities, but only in relation to itself. It can act with what seems to be incredible speed, but it is actually corrupting the flow of time in relation to itself.
Sepher has melded himself with this daemon, so he still has control of chaotic energies and such.
Also, he is powering up for a 'turn' of posts, to unleash a powerful attack on multitudes of enemies.
If there is any issues with this clutch, let me know.

This is officially the big time. No more god-modding. Post your attacks and I will post their results. All of you will need to post a defense against the attacks coming your way before attacking. Remember that these are not actual physical rounds being fired from these guns. Armor is useless against them, as are most abilities that would allow you to take control of projectiles. The fire is magical, so it cannot be controlled by normal elemental control and will still burn anyone who is normally resistant to fire. This also goes for the swords (which bypass armor) and any fire attack the Sorcerer uses. Post here or PM me with any questions.

This is turning into one of those weeks where I keep thinking I'm going to have time to sit down and write and then everything falls down around me and I don't. Work has been busy so I haven't had a chance to get anything done there either. I'm going to try and work on the replies for each group separately instead of in one big lump so I can at least try to get something up. Absolute worst case scenario will see posts up by Sunday, since I'm off and have no plans. I'll try and get some replies up before then. Sorry for the delay.

Hopefully I'm right in assuming that if Gulgrim was standing in the center and the Chaos marines were focused on picking off stragglers who evaded to the sides, then he would mainly have to deal with the sorcerer rather than the marines. If not, I will edit to provide a reaction to incoming bolts as well.

Soul Reaver's charging straight forward, and has unleashed a sonic boom to go along with his thrust. The sonic boom won't do any damage but is intended to exert enough kinetic force to stagger Peterson and/or knock his sword aside - and thus create an opening for the sword thrust to strike true.

Posts are up. Team Kalana (Jharm, Sepher,
Danyael) have one final attack coming from the Sorcerer Lord. It's up to you whether you try to kill him before the attack is made or attempt to ride it out and finish him off afterwards (if you survive.) Team Cameron (Gulgrim, Kitharsis, Jorumn, Fei) are being attacked by a massive chain lightning spell that will hit everything on the battlefield including boyz, undead marines, etc. This is not standard lightning (which is why it's pink) but pure chaos magic, so you will not be able to control it with any type of elemental control. You will need to let me know how you plan on defending against or avoiding this attack, and also advise me on how your minions are attempting to survive, before you counter-attack. If any of your defenses fail, it is assumed that any counter-attack you attempt will not actually happen. Keep that in mind as you write your post.
Danyael and Fei, you still have a chance to get back in this if you can reply to my last two posts in your next one.
Team Soul Reaver (Soul Reaver) has a post coming as soon as I can get it written.

Since that last attack from Gulgrim basically wraps up Team Cameron's battle, I'll throw up another post tonight finishing that scene off. Everyone in Team Cameron, please hold off from posting until I get that taken care of. Team Kalana is basically in a free scene right now, so I'm going to reply to posts individually when possible, and if I reply to your post individually, don't feel like you need to wait for everyone else before replying again. I'll hold off on replies if I notice that people are lagging behind.

Awesome, all done! Soul Reaver cast his spell extremely fast and timed it to hit at short range to try and get the best effect (the spell's power drops the further a target is from the epicentre). Should be self explanatory overall but if anything's unclear, let me know!

Alright... let me explain. I posted in Legion, and I was going to post in EoT too, but I was doing this all from a Starbucks and all the fucking outlets were taken and my laptop battery was dying. So I posted the above post to let you all know that I'd finish posting when I got home. A bunch of extra unexpected shit later, including a dead car battery that barely got me home on two jumps, and here I am, and it's late, and now I have to be up early cause of the shitty battery that died again as soon as I got in the driveway.
