Well I've come up with the solution. Although won't be able to post it possibly until monday night. Possibly tonight. I am leaving for vacation tonight and don't know if I'll have time labor Day night to post when I get back. Will end part one on this post. It will be a semi large post so will take a little while to post. Part II will start then.

Yeah... Tomorrow and Monday I have off. Expect updates then. Sorry about the delay, haven't been home really at all, all week. Was in Ocean City Labor Day weekend and then GF's Birthday on Tuesday compiled with me and GF being busy all week now. Tonight im busy also. Tomorrow I don't have plans. I have the idea completed just needs put into post.

Well crew you've just be conscripted against your will. This is not the actual writing on the decree it's a fabrication in order for Lark to get the results he requires. Opinions? Part 2 I'll allow your reaction posts and then we'll kick off on the mission for Tellos' ammunition.

You're lucky that I'm not (a) RPing a more intelligent character and (b) that character is not in the room, because the moment when I read about Lark reading out that decree (and before I read your OOC), I thought to myself "If I was in that room, I'd ask to see that decree myself". :o

I was going to put it in there and probably will that Lark was going to say that, "due to the sensitive content of the Decree that it can not be shown to anyone but the Captain."

Misthaven is sorta gonna be placed on a temporary hiatus. By temporary I mean it maybe about a week or so before I reopen and proceed again.
I too feel it's a little shallow and pointless to force everyone to go. It creates an unnecassary animosity towards Lark and Grumbald. I am in the process of retconning the last post and redoing it. Lark is supposed to be a charasmatic scoundrel but not a blatant liar and theif. He should only lie, cheat, or steal only when necessary and this doesn't seem necessary and goes against the picture i've painted for him.

If it counts for anything, Darterity was a pirate just days before. I'm sure he would love to do some pillaging, and without much persuasion at that.
The heavy handed approach... Well he was a pirate, so a Mistvald decree doesn't really matter too much to him.

Ok, tonight we'll start at the docks. When the engagement at the docks is through it will swing back to the crew in the Gale. Just so we don't have two battles going on simultaneously.

Im going to make the instances more chronological, Lark and the Ship incident will go first and then the story will flash back to the Hangar. After that you'll have to wait to see what happens.

But be sure to give the other characters something to do. At the moment they're mostly just following Lark, and I'm not sure how much of a reaction they can post in response to your last post. Maybe address some of the characters directly (either via Lark or via a deckhand proxy) and give them a chance to do something?
Maybe have a suspicious deckhand ask them why they don't particularly look like employees from the Office of Aquisitions?

Ok, finished the post for now, sorry it's lackluster but figured would I didn't want to write a book and really wanted to get everyone involved.
I wanted to let John figure out if he wanted Serassey to explore the shot or not. It's up to you if u want to clamor aboard to 10 crewmen while the group is in the midst of pulling the stolen equipment out or to stay and wait it out. I'll give you the choice, post how you'd like to react and we'll continue after.

Sorry I haven't posted sooner but the holidays with shopping and driving around right now have put a squeeze on my efforts to post again. I'm probably going to say that battle is on hiatus until after Christmas but I hope to post before New Years. One of my resolutions for next year is to go head long into this battle. I've been so slow in posting and it's despicable and I’m sorry.

Misthaven is now officially closed. It has been well over a month since Castellan's last past, and I have not received any responses to the emails I have sent him regarding its status. I'm thus assuming it's been abandoned.
If Castellan wishes to continue Misthaven at a later date, the thread can be re-opened.
Cameron has asked that I simply close the thread (and personally that's what I'd go with too) so that's what I've done, but I'm nonetheless curious as to how the current battle participants would like Misthaven to be handled. Some possibilities I can see include:
- Close the thread, we can re-open it if/when Castellan requests it (which is what I've done)
- Keep the thread open, keep waiting for Castellan to post
- Vote for an interim Battle Host to continue the battle in whatever direction it seems to have been heading thus far. Castellan can work together with the Interim Battle Host to take over again in the future if he wishes (I personally am not sure anyone here knows enough about the Misthaven setting to do this well enough, but maybe I'm wrong?)
Let me know your thoughts on this. This isn't a binding referendum, but I want to know if the decision is ok with the players.

Misthaven is now officially RETIRED until the Battle Master can be contacted and gives further instructions. It may be resumed at a later date by the Battle Master if he so chooses and gains administrative approval.
