Not sure of the possibilities here, but I do like to find excuses for The Gorger to interact with fellow players.
Now that I think about it though, if over time he learned to use some lesser form of chi molding to enhance his blows... mmm... anger chi...

I am not sure the Akavashi will be willing to share their secrets with The Gorger. Do you even have spiritual energy or something like it?

Technically yes, since he is still somewhat alive, being a ghoul rather than a wight. Mind you, his soul is so completely mangled I'm not sure he could access Chi normally, since Chi is the manifestation of the Soul's wholesome unity with the body. There might be some monster gimmick way around it, however. Could be an interesting experiment.

Also I'd like to note that Sun Wu and Rau basically work off the complete opposite emotional situation for their powers. Rau's powers are fueled by his emotions made manifest, and Sun Wu uses chi by calming and controlling his emotions.

Wu is sorting through his emotions on Theldorian's teachings. He still has control, he's just allowing himself to explore his lesson, and it sending his head spinning a little.
Wu also knows that The Gorger is a little too extreme to be able to harness Chi at the moment. If the ghoul is able to find the source of his hunger he is that much closer to controlling it.

As he spoke, The Gorger found himself disturbed by yet another monster in the Black Crusade. He wanted to be here. It was as if his very presence stabbed at The Gorger. How can all these monsters willingly work with the Crusade, when The Gorger seemed to hide some great deal of bitterness toward them?
hehe....i forsee the potential for some interesting interactions between the Gorger and Vildayvin :)

not from Vildayvin's part at least...he will speak with the Gorger but intentionally antagonize him nope...Vil would be more interested in aiding the Gorger...attempt to discover what it is that seems to...hinder his rehabilitation (aka the hunger from what ive read so far)

Yeah he seems like a civil dude. The Gorger's kind of a dick though (for now, at least) so he'll no doubt go on a few verbal tirades.
Either way though, good to have another monster in the group on the complete opposite side of the spectrum!

Yep....now the party is balanced (well until Desmond joins lol) though im also interested in seeing Father Rau's attitude towards the horseman (could be interesting judging from his attitude towards The Gorger and monsters in general.

It was unintentional, or simply felt right at the time I will find and mend it.
Edit: I found it, but since it is in the archives I cant change it. In my defence it was at the start of the battle and in my head Rau was a lot more of a zealot back then, than it is now. So yeah my bad.

The way I see it, if your character acts completely 100% consistent throughout a storyline, you're not playing correctly. I'm just poking fun. :)
Seems to me Rau's been turning more and more condescending/evangelical, but at the same time trying to figure out the Aether. Should be interesting to see how it effects it in the long run since it's based on the user!

As The Gorger is fighting solo at the moment, I'm going to wait for others to post to see if any other character inadvertently create some sort of window of opportunity. He's in a bit of a funk. XD

Heh, I was waiting to see what The Gorger would do and choose which one to buff. Him or the Dullahan. So if you are waiting I will go with the Dullahan.

Did some studying up, and just about everything I read suggests closing in on larger foes in order to diffuse the strength they have at reach and allow you to land some critical blows, or pull off some tricks wrestling around with them. So yeah. I did that. With - appropriately - a Siege Breaker! :P
Plus, my earlier evasive ideas in Skype just didn't feel "The Gorger" to me.

Vildayvin's question and general demeanor towards Yukimura is one of general respect. As a creature of the Empire I figure he has a basic understanding of the Akavashi culture and recognizes the seal marks her as something special but doesnt know what it says of course, and the fact that such a person would happen to be waiting for them in such an area seems like something that just doesnt happen without a reason.

It's currently an empty church. Mind you it's a vampiric church, so it looks very dark and blood-themed, and the altar has a basin of blood for rituals. Darkraven is somewhere skulking inside. Probably above you, considering you last saw him in the bell tower.

To be fair, they're actually ravens, and there is a difference. Mainly that ravens are the more violent of the two birds.

Alright. So we're back now. Where we left off people were asking questions after the defeat of Darkraven.

Don't want to seem like I am "stepping on toes" or anything but in order to prevent any potential issues hold off on posting any updates for Shadowhaunt for the current time. Unfortunately Google Cache did NOT recover page 9 of the Shadowhaunt thread, so any posts made since the point where you're currently at on pg 9 are lost. It DID recover page 10 for some reason - which contains only a single post from Shadow Chorus. That post is reproduced below - just in case it helps jog your memories of where things were and in case you'd like to re-create the scenario to the point where you left off:

Thanks for hosting this battle. I enjoyed it for quite a while but I can't find it in me to stay invested. I'm pulling out of shadowhaunt.

Alright. It's been discussed on the discord, and the decision has been made to pull the plug for now on Shadowhaunt. With only two players, and with so much for me on my end, it's ultimately better to free up the creative space in everyone's heads. It's been a bumpy ride, and I won't say the battle was initially well crafted. But I've learned a lot over the course of running it, and if I'm struck with inspiration to launch a new one in the future, those lessons will be considered in the making.
It's been a fun ride, but ultimately whether Dracula is defeated is a tale for another time.
