Shadow Chorus' arrival.
« on: September 06, 2010, 10:49:16 AM »
The rusty doors to the large room would creak open as the lone figure entered the room. His face hidden in a dark brown cloak, all that could be seen is his rugged gray beard. In his hand sits a staff, old, and worn of age. As he walks across the entrance of the room to the large, empty, and decrepit throne on the other side, his cloak billows open, revealing more of his form. He is clothed entirely in ragged leather, from his gloves and boots to his chest. The leather is all either dark brown or a deep scarlet. The clicking of staff and boot ring out in harmony as he crosses the distance to the throne, up the old stone steps. Fireballs flick from his fingertips as he walks, into old torches long unused, flickering to life with a dreadful hiss. He turns, his cloak billowing out, and his hood falling from his face, revealing his Long gray hair and the haggard, haunted face underneath. "What do you want?" he asks, as he sits down on the throne. "I have no time for games."

(Long story Short, after keeping in Contact with Soul Reaver for some time after the Administorum went down, he told me of Clutchfiend's plan to make a new one, and then today I found this. I decided that I wanted to join on the amazing action I've seen, and I prefer to make my entrance to RP forums with a little demonstration of my style, so I put a short sample in my introduction post. Hello, everyone!)

Welcome to the Administorum! I really enjoyed your introduction. Great use of imagery and figurative language! I'm Faidth, Battle Master of The Legion Immortalis BB, and resident firestarter in Epic. It's awesome to have another new user! Can't wait to see what you can do!

P.S. Soul, we should give you a freaking recruiting badge. Where exactly are you driving this white van and offering candy, because apparently it's working!

In an alternate dimension:

Fenwick notices the king taking his seat. It was one of those days where he was moody and wanted a drink or his nails cut or asked questions as if he was asked something. Fenwick hadn't asked anything, neither did the servants... or had they? They really couldn't be sure if they did for either fear or power controlled them, or tried to. Fenwick still had some semblance of his sanity.

He ascends the steps, taking out a deck of cards from his sleeves. "A gamble? Not a game per se, it's simply fun."

(Hey how ya doing! Hope you'll enjoy yourself here :D Did you meet Soul through his maps on Warcraft 3 too? I joined right before the site went down actually)
Destruction begets Creation. Creation begets Interaction. Interaction begets Society. Society begets Use. Use begets Destruction.

Thus the cycle begins and ends.

So you're not even a new guy, but a returned veteran?  Awesome.  I recently joined up myself (I don't even have a 100% completed character sheet yet), and it's always comforting to see more promising players join the ranks.  Have you decided on what battle you're thinking of joining?

Actually I'm not a veteran. I spoke to Soul once I started playing his To the Bitter End maps and somehow managed to get him as an MSN contact. Which also leaves me rather blind on the pinpoint specifics of the Administorum. Any help is appreciated.

Onto the matter at hand: "A gamble? What have you for Ante?" The mage-lord asked, resting his staff across his lap as he rested his chin on his fist, his elbow on the arms of his throne as he watched the man interestedly. Magic flickered behind the Lord's eyes like fire, the very aura around him spoke of spells ready to be unleashed at a moment's noticed. And yet, through it all, the lord himself looked old and tired, not regal and mighty as you would expect. "And why would you take the risk of gambling with lord Sethranas Ravenhall?"

Wa hey that makes 3 of us! Ah what would we do without Blizzard and its obession with tolkkienesque fantasy?

The administorum... will be explained to you in greater detail by someone far more experienced than I am. It's just not my place (yet). Heh. But I think you'll adapt fast here if anything.

Welcome, great to see a new member (though I have to admit I'm a bit fuzzy on which of my MSN contacts you are)!

My apologies for my extended absences from MSN - it's largely becuase I'm concentrating my free time on doing more... productive things.  Feel free to start a thread or e-mail me if you've got any questions regarding how The Administorum works - reading up a bit on the existing threads might give you a pretty good idea already though.

P.S. Soul, we should give you a freaking recruiting badge. Where exactly are you driving this white van and offering candy, because apparently it's working!

The candy van is parked here: http://www.familykrieg.com/tothebitterend ;)

Looks like I'm late to the party, but welcome to the boards! Glad to see another role player. The more people we have, the better!

I am planning on FINALLY having the Character Creation guidelines for the Epic Battle up in the next two days. Until then, feel free to peruse any of our other active Board Battles or just hang out.
