Neeeyaahahahhahaa! While you're all doing all this talking and resting and learning new stuff, I'll have Fenwick put in danger!
I've discussed this with Faidth a few days ago and told some of you over Skype, but I think I'll put it up here for Kitharsis and future players: I'm bringing Fenwick in a darker direction.
The themes I originally based Fenwick around were on Torment, Power, and Uncertanty, among others. It's also why I intentionally constrained and weakened his powers so that they're not at full power.
However, I think younger me was way too excited to be doing something that somewhat resembled a tabletop role playing campaign. As such, Fenwick became a lot more cheerful than initially conceived. Thankfully, we started our return with a death and death is always a good catalyst for angst and drama.
Of course, for archiving purposes, his cheerfulness did happen and he's currently in a relationship with Cleo (Oooooh the possibilities!!). It's just that if you were to re-read now, the writing style and Fenwick's personality would've metamorphosed pretty jarringly between 2011 and 2013. I do apologise for that and am still scratching my head as I struggle to smoothen the transition. However! As Kierkegaard said, we live life forward and only understand backward. We'll see where this goes
