Monster Hunters
Imperial men who learn the ways of the hunt, Monster Hunters specialize in devastating dark creatures before they can fight back. bearing holy crossbows and blades, and moving with a swiftness to rival the Akavashi, Monster Hunters forsake armor in favor of a dark trench coat and a witch-hunter's hat. Often mysterious, and under many aliases, Monster Hunters move where the battle goes, taking their toll of the undead and moving on to the nexdt important location.

Monster Hunters often wield multiple weapons specialized for specific creatures. A golden sword to fight the dullahan, Silver for vampires and werewolves, Throwing crosses; religious objects sharpened to a deadly point and thrown for keen effectiveness. With each Monster Hunter, however, is a prayer book. In it are written the names of the dead, both ally and enemy, that the Hunter feels are worth taking down, and a list of litanies and holy prayers to both heal allies and smite enemies, as well as offer comfort in times of desperation.

Wizards
Nordic masters of Natural magic, Wizards take to the field of battle brandishing ancient oak staves and wearing plain robes, calling down the forces of lightning and fire to smite the monsters that threaten them. Each wizard designs his own spells, becoming in tune with nature in their own manner. While one wizard's fireball might be a massive, roiling, explosive ball of destruction, another wizard's fireball might be a fine dart of flame, deadly and accurate.

Wizards are often old and wizened, having taken years to master the art of magic before taking it to the fields of battle. Nevertheless, their aid is always welcome, as their spells have often been able to turn the tides of battle in favor of the distressed human defenders.

Monks
Akavashi wisemen and warrior-sages, Monks leave their lives behind to train and live in monasteries, mastering the art of the body, learning to control every fibre of their being to turn themselves into living weapons. Able to focus their natural energy into a powerful force called Chi, Monks use this to deadly effectiveness, forsaking all weapons and armor to don casual clothing or robes, and fighting with nothing but their own superhuman bodies. Their chi strikes are able to rend the supernatural, taking advantage of the negative nature of the dark beings and using their own positive energy to defeat them.

Monks are often distant, and frequently take vows of silence. Their reasons for choosing this path are frequently never revealed, but it is said each monk has a different background that drove them to this life, and made them become the living weapons they are.

Huscarls
Nordic noblemen, such as they are, are known as Huscarls. The mightiest warriors of the Nords, taking the title of Jarl, they carry large shields and heavy weapons into battle, wearing chainmail rather than the regular leather of most nord warriors. Huscarls command the Nords of their individual tribe, representing them at the feast during the annual meeting of tribes, where each Nord tribe meets to praise the Vaegirs, drink, and be merry.

Huscarls are natural leaders, able to stir others with speeches and actions, and vicious on the battlefields. The famed Jarl Vali Ironhawk, Huscarl of the Mjornir tribe, the current strongest of the tribes and head of the Meeting, is said to fight not with axe or blade, but with a massive stone pillar he uprooted from a vampire manor, nearly as tall as he is, standing at 8 ft tall to his 8 ft 5.

Not all Huscarls are men, however, and in fact the Jarl Helga Hammerstorm, 3rd at the table as head of the 3rd strongest tribe of the nords, leads some of the mightiest women of the Nordic peoples, whom the other tribes have taken to nicknaming Norinskir, meaning feral ladies, in honor of their ferocity and valiance in the field of battle.

Enchanters
Nordic men and women who have taken to branding natural magics into the weapons and armour they and their allies wield in the form of magical runes. Enchanters are at home both in the forge and on the battlefield, wielding what they make to deadly efficiency. In fact some say that the Enchanters are even better warriors than most, as they know exactly how their weapons work and can capitalize on that with ease. The mightiest smiths in all the land, the work of an Enchanter is much sought after by people of all nations, their work prized in the armories of lords and ladies throughout the lands.

Priests
Imperial holy men, the priests devote themselves to healing the wounded and infirm, and banishing evil from their sight. Armed with holy writ and prayer, they bring healing light or Holy Wrath in equal measure, calling down the wrath or forgiveness of their god with grace and impunity. Revered among the people, the priests are often a necessary component to any expedition by the Imperials, to bless the soldiers and tend the wounded.

Crusaders
Imperial nobles who take up the mantle of battle, Crusaders bear righteous fury to the enemy, swinging holy blades as they wear heavy armour. Meeting the battle with steel and wrath, they shout cries of vengeance against the monsters of the night as they fight with divine fury in their hearts. Crusaders take the title of Ser, whether they be male or female, and go to battle decked in heavy armour, bearing blades and shields as they meet the foe head-on.

Winged Dragons
Akavashi Elite warriors, Winged Dragons revere the spirits of the ancient dragons that used to populate the realms, and fight with spears and deadly blades. They leap through the air with agility and skill unmatched by any other human, bringing their spears down from on high upon the enemy, their blades singing the song of war as they dance through the enemy lines, devastating the ranks of the foe with grace and brutality.

Assassins
Akavashi assassins are trained to be invisible, even to the senses of werewolves and vampires. Capable of vanishing from plain sight, Assassins are trained to take down high value targets and then fade back into the battle. When a massive monstrosity falls to its knees, most Akavashi offer a prayer to the spirit of shadows to keep their assassin brethren hidden, that they might do that again some other day. Assassins bear specialized weaponry, or weapons enchanted by the nords, and move stealthily to the most important enemy to take him out and then move to the next target. Most assassins aren't even noticed until the high value targets are all dead and they move into the fray, striking down enemies with agility and power that belies their light builds.

Tamers
Among all of the three societies, tamers are legends. Mighty, powerful men and women, bedecked in holy icons and magical artifacts and armor, they tame the monsters of the Blacklands. They bring them under their wing, and they teach them the ways of the living. If a monster cannot be reeducated and made into an ally, then it will be caged and bound as a hunting dog, controlled by the magical and physical powers of the tamer until it is unleashed upon the enemy. Tamers themselves are formidable opponents, even without their monstrous charges. They are usually expert warriors from one of the other special forces, and joined the order of tamers, which travels the lands, always looking for promising new warriors and allies to recruit to the cause.

One of the Mightiest tamers, sir Walter of Gandrick, is said to be leading a large host of monsters with him in the current crusade against the Blacklands. Sir walter is a mighty tamer, and his age has not set him back in the least.
